On the morning of the 15th of February, the Russian foreign minister Lavrov warned Nato with the following statement “Western politics is reaching a point of no return”. The latter are words that threaten Europe's peace and freedom. Furthermore, they are the source of fear for many as they foreshadow the possibility of an atomic escalation. Indeed, this would render useless all the work that world leaders started in 1945.
Einstein, known as the father of the atomic bomb, had warned us about the evolution of technology and how this could destroy our civilisation. In his words: “I don’t know which weapons will be used to fight the third world war, but I am sure that the fourth war will be fought with sticks and stones”. How wars are fought has completely changed since this statement has been made. It is in Einstein’s "prophecy" that we find a connection between technological evolution and the regression of our civilisation: indeed, conflicts do not only threaten the military and some cities, rather, they now also threaten the planet.
It is difficult both to hypothesise how the war may end and if Moscow will ever be able to make compromises. Lastly, it is also extremely difficult to comprehend how the past of the nations has shaped their interests.
Are the United States of America only helping by providing weapons, help and money? Or are they doing more?
We should question whether Ukraine is becoming the battlefield or the lobby where two major forces are fighting.
Europe appears to be weak: incapable to take her own position. On the other hand, Nato’s decisions making lies with America, which doesn’t seem to want to help cease the hostility. Although America’s choice doesn’t surprise, many have remained astonished at the passive role that is being carried out by Europe. Europeans should start questioning whether they should continue to stay under the shadow of the Americans or whether it was time to unite their armies under the blue flag.

The only possible solution is to create a federation founded on a common political idea. All of this is to bring peace back to Ukraine.
